It’s nice to feel wanted.
Edmunds – a car information and shopping platform – compiled its list of the most in-demand vehicles across the industry and named the 2019 Chrysler 300 a Buyers Most Wanted Vehicle.
The 300 was victorious in the Large Car segment, one amongst 17 in the field, for a second consecutive year.
“It’s clear that the Chrysler 300’s variety of options and trademark bold styling continue to serve it well in the category,” said Ivan Drury, senior manager of industry analysis, Edmunds.
Criteria for selecting the winners was based on overall sales figures, average time on the dealer lot and shopper interest data on Edmunds.
According to an official FCA US LLC press release, “For each segment, Edmunds identified the models with the highest levels of two types of shopper consideration based on Edmunds site activity, the highest sales and the lowest average days-to-turn. Edmunds equally ranked each of the four data sets to determine the winner in each segment.”
The large car’s mix of elegant design and world-class performance – all at an attainable value – helped bring the 300 its second straight Edmunds victory.
This caps off a memorable second half of 2018 for the Chrysler 300. Earlier in the summer, J.D. Power awarded the large car with a top-three finish in its U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study™, which measures owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement for their vehicle.
Additionally, this fall, automotive research and consulting firm AutoPacific evaluated responses from 58,000 owners of new vehicles across all major manufacturers and honored the 300 with an Ideal Vehicle Award for the Large Car segment. The award winners were measured by whether buyers were least likely to want to make an automobile change.
