Honoring through music.
Before the holiday season ramps up, we pause on Veterans Day to remember and thank the millions of men and women, both past and present, who served and sacrificed for our country.
To commemorate U.S. service members, veterans and their families, FCA US LLC’s charitable arm, the FCA Foundation, announced an expansion of their partnership with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO). The expansion aims to honor those who served by bringing DSO musicians to visit Midtown Detroit’s John D. Dingell V.A. Medical Center to perform free concerts for patients, visitors and staff.
Additionally, service members, veterans and their families have access to discounted tickets to 19 DSO concerts throughout the 2018-19 season, triple the number than their prior season offering. The DSO is the fourth oldest orchestra in the U.S., dating back to their first concert in 1887.
“The FCA Foundation is pleased to collaborate with the DSO in an effort to recognize the contributions of our service members, veterans and their families,” said Shane Karr, Head of External Affairs, FCA US LLC – North America and President, FCA Foundation.
“Without a doubt, it’s their sacrifices that make the freedoms we all enjoy possible, and for this we are forever grateful.”
DSO’s concert season started in October and goes until June 2019. Below is a brief glimpse at what the season holds and upcoming dates for the rest of 2018 into the new year.
