“Over the last decade, there have been two questions that we’ve received more than anything else,” said Brandon Girmus, Brand Manager for the Jeep® Gladiator, in front of a media crowd at the Texas State Fair.
“The first was, ‘When is Jeep brand going to come out with a new pickup truck?’ We of course checked that off with the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The second question was, ‘When will the Jeep Wrangler be available in a diesel engine?’”
It was hard for Girmus not to keep a smile off his face when he got to answer that question by unveiling the 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel in addition to the Jeep Wrangler Willys Edition.
The presentation capped off an eventful Texas State Fair media day for FCA US LLC that began with Ram brand unveiling its Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition and Heavy Duty Night Edition trucks.
Jeep® Wrangler EcoDiesel
Attendees clamored to see the EcoDiesel finally settled into a brand-new Wrangler. Enthusiasm ramped up when it was announced that the Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel would provide the best fuel efficiency and driving range on one tank of any Jeep Wrangler in its history.
The Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel comes available in all trims, from Sport to Rubicon. According to an official FCA US LLC press release, the EcoDiesel was rated at 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, with ESS standard.
Jeep® Wrangler Willys
When we previously covered the release of the Jeep Wrangler Willys Edition, we marveled at how a taste of Jeep brand’s history stood out in the latest vehicle.
It marvels all the more in person. The black highlights around the grille and tires made the rest of the exterior pop off the showroom floor.
As said in FCA US LLC’s press release, The Wrangler Willys edition features a limited-slip rear differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, heavy-duty brakes and 32-inch Firestone mud terrain tires.
The Jeep Wrangler Willys Edition is available to order now. To look for offers, incentives and lease deals on other Jeep brand or FCA US LLC vehicles, visit our Chrysler Capital Offers page.
