The Jeep® brand lineup has been given a new dimension with the introduction of the 2021 Wrangler 4xe – the first Jeep plug-in hybrid model in North America and the most technologically advanced, eco-friendly Wrangler yet.
Built with no compromises, the 4xe generates 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of instant torque for an exhilarating driving experience and ultra-quiet off-roading, allowing you to truly appreciate the natural sounds of your environment.
As capable on city streets as it is on trails, this model is fitted with three e-Selec modes to suit your needs.
Hybrid, the default mode, combines torque from the 2.0L turbocharged engine and electric motors to deliver maximum horsepower and acceleration, and an estimated 370 miles1 of total range.
Electric mode provides up to 21 miles2 of pure electric range with nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds. Switch into eSave, and you will save your battery charge for later.
To enhance the 4xe experience further, Jeep brand and Electrify America have started installing charging stations at Jeep Badge of Honor trailheads across the country, with stations at Moab, Big Bear and the Rubicon Trail leading the way. This Jeep 4xe Charging Network is available at no extra cost for owners of the 4xe.
Charging your Jeep vehicle is a simple process wherever you choose to do it. The Level I charger that comes as standard and plugs into a typical household outlet will charge your vehicle in approximately 12 hours. Home-installed Level II chargers3 are also available, which will deliver a full charge in approximately two hours. Once charged, you’re all set to travel with an estimated 49 MPGe4 fuel economy rating along with the 4xe’s generous driving range.
The 2021 Wrangler 4xe is available in three models; Sahara 4xe, High Altitude 4xe and Rubicon 4xe, with an MSRP starting at $49,8055 before the $7,500 federal tax credit.6 State and local incentives may also be available.
