May 4, 2019, marks the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby®.
It also marks the 10-year anniversary of the “greatest two minutes in sports” having Ram as its “Official Truck” of Churchill Downs®.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, the Ram brand unveiled a brand new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Kentucky Derby Edition.
According to an official FCA US LLC press release, Kentucky Derby Edition buyers will get to choose from seven exterior colors: Bright White, Pearl White, Delmonico Red, Diamond Black Crystal, Granite Crystal, Max Steel or Patriot Blue.
Additionally, special edition trucks will be available in a variety of configurations: 2500 or 3500 Limited, Cummins 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel I-6 or 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8, 4×2 or 4×4, Mega Cab or Crew Cab, single rear wheel or dual rear wheel with 6-ft.-4-in. or 8-ft. bed lengths.
On the inside, the Kentucky Derby Edition offers maximum comfort with premium full-leather front and rear seats with heating and cooling, genuine wood and metal trim. Rear reclining will be available on Mega Cab trims.
Fans attending the race or watching the event on TV will be immersed in a Ram truck brand experience. At Churchill Downs, attendees will take notice of on-site truck displays, video board integrations, backcountry and trackside signage, and much more.
In addition, Ram brand television spots will run throughout the NBC network telecasts. Ram will also post on their social media channels, letting fans join the conversation through the hashtag, #RamDerby.
