So God made a farmer.
It was only a few years ago that millions of viewers across the country heard those words and the speech that echoed throughout the Ram commercial.
The advertisement is still recollected today, reminding the country of Ram’s close ties to the agricultural industry. That bond will continue to be celebrated with the new release of the 2018 Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab.
Specific to the agricultural market, the new edition truck is visually distinguished by two limited-available colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue. The colors pay homage to Case IH and New Holland farm tractors. Additionally, Brilliant Black and Bright White are also available.
“Addressing a direct request from farmers, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer Chassis Cab commercial trucks in colors that match two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Ram Brand – FCA US LLC North America.
“The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab delivers high capability and gives farming families a way to show their agricultural brand loyalty.”
Harvest Edition trucks will be available across the Ram 3500 (SRW and DRW), 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab lineup, in all four-door Crew Cab and two-door Regular Cab configurations.
The features work perfectly not just for farmers but for those who use their truck for plenty of work and hauling. Large front-tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps and rear back-up camera all come included as well as a plethora of technology, including an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen radio which features the following:
- Navigation
- 4G Wi-Fi capability
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity
- Fingertip access to smartphone map mirroring
- Sirius Weather with up-to-the-minute weather maps and forecasts for any location in the country
The unveiling of Ram’s Harvest Edition trucks took place at Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island, Nebraska. The exhibitions displayed the latest equipment, supplies and technologies available today in the agricultural industry.
The new edition Ram trucks go on sale in the third quarter of 2018.
