See the new “personalized” Ram truck lineup from the Texas State Fair

Night has fallen over the first day of the Texas State Fair.

The Lone Star State’s home to famous corny dogs and all things fried food provided a stage for Ram brand’s unveiling of its 2020 Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition and Heavy Duty Night Edition.

“The theme for this year’s State Fair of Texas is customization and personalization,” said Mike Koval, director of U.S. Product Marketing – Ram brand.

“We’ve heard from our customers that they want to do more with their vehicles. And more than the performance, capability and reliability, but they also want that sense of personalization and style. That’s what we’ve brought here.”

According to an official FCA US LLC press release, the new addition to the Ram 1500 lineup brings another level of refinement with sleek black accents to the following features:

  • Grille with R-A-M letters
  • Badging
  • Tow hooks
  • Exhaust
  • Premium LED headlamps
  • Grille surround, bumpers
  • Door handles and side-view mirrors

The Ram 1500 Limited Black is expected to arrive in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations as well as 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel, 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 and 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with eTorque.

Earlier in the summer, we spoke with Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) on their sneak preview of the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, which will also be available in a Limited Black Edition. KBB.com complimented how “pleasantly quiet” the EcoDiesel was while driving and that it “really does offer a lot for a shopper.”

The Ram Heavy Duty Night Edition will come available in Big Horn and Laramie models in addition to 2500 and 3500 4×2 and 4×4 Crew Cabs and Mega Cabs. Additionally, the Heavy Duty will now get 17-inch black dual rear wheels with machined pockets to complement the truck’s monochromatic design.

Customers also have their choice of the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 or renowned 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 featuring the highest available torque at 1,000 lb.-ft.

“We’ve spent a lot of time in Texas listening to what truck customers want and what they need. I think we’ve collectively done a nice job bringing to market useful applications of that,” Koval said.

“We’re thrilled to be here and proud to display the new lineup of Ram trucks at the State Fair of Texas.”

The Limited Black and Heavy Duty Night editions are expected to be available later this year. Can’t wait for the release of the new Ram trucks? Check out our Chrysler Capital Offers page for incentives, offers and lease deals on 2020 Ram brand and other FCA US LLC vehicles.
